Whohoo!! Here we are at the reveal – Yay!!! Last week, I finished putting the new fabric on the deck furniture, and this week I pulled together all of the finishing touches.By the end of last week I had spent $50. So that left me with $50 to complete my project 🙂 🙂 🙂
The last few pieces I needed to finish off the space included the following:
Originally, I had chosen this fabric for the chairs. But I thought it would be a bit too much, so I decided to use it for accent pillows. When I was doing Greg’s condo, I purchased some pillow forms and covers at IKEA, which I didn’t end up using. Which is good, because now I can use them here! Cost of fabric for pillows = $23. Pillow forms = already had 🙂
The rug proved to be a bit more difficult. Originally I thought that doing my deck late in the season would be good, because I would hit all of the end of the season sales. But, I was mistaken… Silly girl, don’t you know that they are putting out Halloween, and Christmas decorations by now?! Luckily for me, I found a rug at Walmart. The size is 30″ x 45″, which really isn’t as big as I wanted for the space, but since the rug is only $16, I just bought two of them, and put them together!! (sneaky little blogger :-)) I don’t think these are actually outdoor rugs, but the combined cost was $32, so if they only last one year… I’m okay with that. And I LOVE the colours!!!! Plus they are machine washable. And no, they will not be spending the winter out there.
If you like the style of this rug, and there aren’t any left at Walmart, here are some similar styles:
And some similar pillows in case you ar unable to find similar fabric
I had my eye on these beautiful mums for a while. I wasn’t sure if I would have enough money left in the budget to get one, but I did! This is actually the first time I have bought one of these beautiful plants. Isn’t is fabulous? Cost of Mum = $13
So, now to raid my pantry for a few items to finish this off the right way. Prosecco anyone?
And here is the space all put together:
Before and Afters:

To be honest Miranda, I wasn’t really sure it could be done either! I was worried I might have to go to plan B. But they came out pretty well.
This is hands down one of my favorite transformations! You completely and totally rocked those chairs!! It looks like the perfect space to unwind and relax. I love the fabric you chose and your rugs look so pretty outside! Beautiful!
Thank you Melissa, You are so sweet! I was thinking about tossing them out before I started this challenge, and now they are like new, so I guess I will keep them.
