Im loving this cell project shown. I have, if i may, a couple of questions to ask please. Firstly, is that Yupo paper you made the holes in and also, what did you use to make the holes? I would LOVE to have a go at this for my lounge, its quite fascinating!
Hey Tibby,
The Cell series is by Jess Kirkman aka Manifest Jess. Here is a link to an interview with her regarding her cell series. I believe she uses a wood burning tool on yupo paper to get that effect. http://voyagela.com/interview/meet-manifest-jess-irvine/
WOW!!! Absolutely awesome!! I have some old acetate (whatever it’s called) gift box lids in my “waiting to up-cycle box”. That will certainly take the ink and I can try burning holes with my soldering iron. I dont have YUPO paper yet, so why not give it a go!!
If it works, I will e-mail a pic if I have an address…
Agreed, always worth giving something a try. that’s how I learn a LOT of things by just trying out stuff. Good luck, and feel free to post a pic in the comments 🙂
this is really lovely. would you mind sharing? I’ve tried to get others to share, but no luck! I promise to name you as my inspiration. Thanks
so nice!!!
This is phantastic! How do you create the different layers?
