Dogs and Decor

I’m happy to say that I actually feel like things are finally coming together as we near the finish line of the One Room Challenge. Last week, I was feeling a bit lost. But once I picked out and ordered some bedding, the remaining pieces started to fall into place. So, now it’s the final week to scramble and put everything together and then photograph it all for the BIG REVEAL next week. Then I’m taking a week off, to watch Netflix and play video games 🙂

Bench

Last week, I got most of my  DIY tufted bench done, but it didn’t have a leg to stand on!! Haha. No? Table legs are not cheap. All of the ones that I liked were about $20-$30 each. So, I bought this little used end table online for $20. I really like these Queen Ann legs. So, this way they only cost me $5 each and they are already stained 🙂

The table was 19″ high, which is probably a really good height for the bench, but it’s too high for Sage to jump on, so they need to come down a bit. I will have to enlist Greg’s help to attach these, since my drillmanship (is that a word or did I just make it up?) is not always straight. As of press time, I am still working out the bits and pieces with the bench. You will have to tune in next week for the reveal to see how it all comes out.

Bedding

So, I finally made a decision and ordered bedding. Once I got this piece done, it made it easier to start organizing the accessories. The last piece for this, is to go out and grab some sheets and accent pillows. The bedding and wallpaper are both supposed to arrive on October 31st. Hmmmm, why does that date ring a bell…

Dogs and Decor

I had a very good shopping day on my last day off. I won’t show you everything, so as not to ruin the surprise next week. But I have to share this one with you, because it seemed so funny to me…

Week 5 of the one room challenge is dogs and decor with Sage the paplillion and Jack SkellingtonI bought this little glass dog for Greg’s side of the bed. When I was taking the stickers off, I noticed this one on the bottom that reads “Decorative Purposes Only”

What do they thing I’m going to do with it? Put it outside with a bowl of food and water?? 🙂

I don’t think they would be happy about another interloper living or not!  Week 5 of the one room challenge is dogs and decor with Sage the paplillion and Jack Skellington

Ok, there is still a lot to do as I sprint towards the finish line. So, I will get back to work, and everything will be revealed next week in the finale. I really hope to see you there. As always you should take a look at the featured designers, and the other guest bloggers, like me!! If you are just joining and need to catch up, here are the previous weeks:
