Future shopping for duvet covers

Shopping for my future bedroom

Since I am waiting to find a home to buy, I don’t have very many  home renovation projects on the go. My condo has had almost everything done, since I purchased my place in 2008. So I am perusing through some duvet covers to brighten up my future bedroom, in my future home!

In planning my new master bedroom. I am taking my own advice from this post – Master Bedroom, and planning my colour scheme around the bedding.

King of the jungle

The plan is to upgrade to a King sized bed once we move, since there is limited wiggle room with Greg, myself, the cat and the dog. The animals aren’t very large, but always seem to lie in the most inconvenient locations.  Lately when I come to bed, Sage won’t even move out of the way, unless I pick her up and relocate her. I guess she figures that if I’m not using my side, its fair game 🙂

Sage is giving me the look. Last one to bed doesn’t get to pick their spot!

So, my starting point is to choose some bedding that makes me happy 🙂 My current bedding looks like this. I love it, but white is tough to keep clean, and it is starting to show some age. Plus it is queen sized, so won’t work with our ‘future bed’. Time to search for some new duvet covers.

This is my current bedding I like the colour a lot. But it has seen better days

Penny’s Place

Do you watch the Big Bang theory? I have always loved the styling in Penny’s apartment, It is just a cacophony of vibrant colours, and it’s pretty fun 🙂  I probably wouldn’t put that much colour into my room, but I am definitely moving in the direction of bright colours!

I love the bold colours in Penny’s home, from the Big Bang Theory

I probably won’t actually purchase until we move, as I just don’t have the storage space for a big box of duvet covers that won’t fit my current bed. But it sure is fun to “window shop” in the mean time!

I bought the bedding for Greg’s condo seen here from Wayfair and I love it. There are just so many more choices online, and when they give you free shipping, what have you got to lose!!

Here are my favourite choices for bright happy bedding:

[…] Plus there will definitely be lots of decorating projects, as there always are when you move to a new home. I will need to pick a new colour scheme for our master bedroom, which I already did some prepping for here […]
