Garden Tool Storage

This week, I did some work on the shed. Specifically the garden tool storage area. I have seen a few different examples of tool storage walls. This is my version, and it’s my favourite – I LOVE IT!!  I will do a detailed tutorial of this project separately. But here are the highlights:We put up a plywood backer, painted it with BEHR Paint and Primer in One and then used PVC piping cut to size to hang the tools.

Since I am currently having a bit of a love affair with my Cricut I added some lettering to keep this wall neat and tidy. Everything in it’s place! Seriously this is my dream tool wall 🙂 Have a look. Mission accomplished!

Lawn

The lawn is  looking fabulous. Huge kudos to Greg who has totally made this his pet project.

Mowing the lawn with our new honda 3-in1 lawn mower

We are super lucky that when we bought this house it already had in-ground sprinklers. And they are set up amazingly well. There are no dry spots and very minimal over spray. If we didn’t already have these, I would definitely pay to put them in. Plus it’s just so much more efficient to water this way. Also we have been fertilizing with Scotts Turf Builder for about a month and I can officially ENDORSE this product. It is AMAZING!! Not only is the lawn way thicker, greener and more lush. But I’m noticing that the clover and crab grass is dwindling noticeably after only a few weeks. At this point we have been fertilizing every week, but will lessen once the lawn is filled in and weed free. Have a look at the results.

We also ended up buying a new lawn mower this week. Greg’s dad had given us one, but it was really vacuuming the lawn more than mowing it. I let Greg decide what brand to purchase, because he is the guy that has to push it around the yard. He chose this one

Furniture

I bought new deck furniture. But you will have to come back next week to see it. Here is a sneak peak. Did I mention that Angus thinks we bought the furniture for him, and he doesn’t even look very happy about it!

See you next week for the final reveal!
