I love mirrors. Not the kind you use to do your make-up. I mean decorative mirrors. I think they are so much better than artwork in so many applications. And what do I love more than Decor mirrors?
DIY Decor Mirrors!!!!
Here are some of my favourite DIY Mirrors. Made by yours truly.
Bed Bath and Beyond Dupe
I did this mirror for a look for less challenge. Can you believe that this mirror is made from poster board? It is a dupe of a Bed Bath and Beyond mirror. Originally when I made it I did a different paint finish that had a speckled hammered bronze on top of the gold. But after a while, decided to take it back to straight shiny gold,. It looks so much better in gold. And what better than gold you ask? Why gold with rhinestones of course!! Now I love this mirror. It is currently hanging on my bedroom wall.

Spring Fling Mirror
And speaking of paper… this mirror is made from paper plates! They are dollar tree spring fling plates. I actually made this one in two colours. These plates came in a really amazing holographic finish. This project is very quick, very easy and very inexpensive.
Feather Mirror
This isn’t just any feather mirror. This is how to make the perfect feather mirror! The secret is in how you apply the feathers. You’ll just have to go to the post to find out all of the secrets for yourself.
Zip-tie Mirror
Yep, you read that right. This mirror is made from zip ties. This is one of my favourite DIYs. I was inspried to create this mirror based on a similar mirror that I saw which was made from strips of poster board. And I thought, zip ties might work. The cool part is that it is a pretty sturdy mirror, It’s crazy pretty and its so light weight you can hang it up with a push pin! No worries about finding a stud to nail into.

Now did I say that the last one was my favourite? Because I think this one might be too! I can have more than one favourite right? And Just in case you are not seeing the trend here. This one was also made with items that you can buy at the dollar store. Isn’t this fabulous though? I really must give a shout-out to Rust-Oleum Gold Metallic Spray Paint because it just makes everything look better!!

Wave Mirror
I named this mirror the wave mirror because of the way the metal tines make a wave motion. And no they are not real metal How could you possibly be cutting up real metal without a metal shop? Head on over to the post, and I will explain everything!
Here is a short video of this project
And now for something completely different…
Can you believe that this mirror is made from a devilled egg tray? It’s almost unrecognizable in it’s blinged up state. I also did matching candlesticks, so be sure to click on the link and see how to make those too!

Well, that’s all for the moment, but don’t you worry because I turn out a new mirror pretty regularly. As a matter of fact, I’m working on one right now. I will link them all up, as soon as they are finished.
The really cool thing about DIY Mirrors, is that you can make really nice looking mirrors, so inexpensively, and no one is even going to know that they are made from paper or cardboard, because they are hanging on the wall!!
